About Me:

Hello Orion School! I am so excited to be teaching STEAM this year in the amazing Makery! I have been teaching for the last 23 years and I have taught students ranging from Preschool all the way up to community college. For the last three years, I have been teaching at  Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion School and will be enjoying my first year at Orion. I have not only taught STEAM, but I have been a music teacher, drama teacher, math tutor, choir director and a film history teacher. I believe in teaching students practical skills for life, but also introducing them to many ideas and projects to see what ignites the spark in their eyes! I have my Masters from the University of Texas at Austin and my Bachelors from Principia College. I love all kinds of music, classic cars, singing, playing guitar and collecting antiques. I love the new maker technology and look forward to teaching your sons and daughters many fun skills and practical knowledge!
 I grew up in Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, but now make my home ,as you all do, in the great state of California.
