About Me:
I began my teaching career in San Francisco after receiving my teaching credential from San Francisco in 1985. In addition to a teaching credential, I also have a BA in Social Welfare and Psychology form the University of California at Berkeley.
My first teaching job was at a private school in San Francisco. I taught third grade for three years and then moved to a first grade position for fourteen years. I re-entered the teaching profession in 2009. During the past years, I have taught a first grade class at Fair Oaks and a fifth grade class at Henry Ford before I had the good fortune to teach at Orion.
During my years away from teaching in the classroom, I had the opportunity to volunteer at my daughters’ school. I have been an Art-in-Action Coordinator, docent and helper. I was the President and then Parliamentarian of the Parent Club. I also chaired the annual dinner auction and Father Daughter Dance for four years. Once my girls entered 8th and high school, I returned to the classroom to resume my passion, teaching.
My family has lived in Redwood City since 1997. My husband, Doug, is an engineer and owns his own business. I have three daughters who have been educated by the Redwood City School District.
