1st Grade - Goldberg, Jessica

Jessica Goldberg

About Me:

Hello, My name is Jessica Goldberg and students called me Mrs. Goldberg. I grew up in a small town in Indiana for the most part, but also came to Redwood City, CA for Kindergarten at Henry Ford and 8th Grade at Kennedy Middle School. I am the oldest of 6 kids and my youngest sibling is 6 years old. I went to Sequoia High School and married my high school sweetheart in August 2017. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in a cabin built in 1920 and love the beautiful commute over Highway 9 and Skyline. When I am not teaching, I like to make latch-hook rugs, hike in the redwoods, and watch TV with my cats and spouse.
I graduated from San Jose State University with my Master's in Education and my California Multiple Subject Teaching credential in 2016. I have been teaching across the bay area from toddlers to middle school for many years. My favorite subjects are science and reading. Before I became a teacher I wanted to be a forensic pathologist, but after taking a children's literature class and loving it, I changed my major and got my BA in Child and Adolescent Development from SJSU in 2014.
