2nd Grade - Schechter, Cathy

About Me:

This is my seventh year with RCSD. I attended U.C. Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree and also received my teaching credential there. I have taught for over ten years in the classroom but have also worked as a Project Manager for a sustainability nonprofit as well as in marketing and advertising.

I love following the latest research related to teaching, and I am a certified Orton Gillingham Classroom Educator. I believe that all children deserve instruction so that they can be literate and reach their full potential. I have two teenage children, and I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, being outdoors, and playing tennis.
