About Me:

My students know me as Teacher Conti.  I started teaching in 2002 and came to Orion in 2019. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at San Francisco State University.  In our TK  class we emphasize play, hands-on experiences, individualized instruction, social-emotional development, integrated curriculum, and curiosity-driven learning. TK lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning in young students. I believe these experiences shape my students’ attitudes towards education, instilling a sense of joy, curiosity, and intrinsic motivation that can carry them through their educational journey and beyond.

I grew up in Minnesota and moved to California in 2002.  Now my parents and sister live in Brooklyn. I’m married with a son in ninth grade and a daughter in sixth grade. I love reading, doing puzzles, watching baseball, traveling, elephants, and spending time with my family.
