Outdoor Learning Spaces
Orion students and staff leverage inviting learning spaces outside collaborating, learning and reflecting.
Our school garden provides students with a hands-on experience that complements classroom curriculum. Students learn how to plan their own garden, compost, and grow their own food. In the process, they also learn how to be stewards for their environment and community.
All students in grades k-5 visit the garden on a regular basis with an instructor leading environmental science lessons in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Students focus on solving real world environmental challenges facing their world today in an outdoor setting.
